This is my first album release, which was recorded in 2007.
I have decided to re-release this album myself instead of paying for hosting costs. The album was an experiment when I attempted to write and record an entire album from scratch in a week. It was quite stressful, especially with the recording due to mistakes being made and being rushed to get the songs finished. Because of this, I didn't quite manage to do it in a week but got it finished in nine days. The production is a bit rough in places but I quite like the authenticity it gives to the album. Because of how quickly it was made, I gave it the title of "Suddenly".
You can download it here for free but I would gladly welcome your donations. There are four prices to choose from, so please consider paying if you get the album.
This is the preview video for it.

The four tracks are:
1. February
2. I Do
3. An Explanation
4. Waiting For Nothing

February is a reworking of the first studio recording by my first band and features Adam on guitar, Meg on bass and Darren on drums. I played guitar and sang.
Waiting For Nothing came from our second studio session and features Tom on bass, Darren on drums and me doing the rest.
To give you an idea of the EP, here is a live version of February, recorded in 1992.
This is made up of three old songs of mine when I was taking inspiration from grunge.
The first track "Everything" was played by my first band but it only featured at our first gig.
The second "Sugar Burn" never got used although we tried it in rehearsals once or twice.
The third "Take It All" was never played to anyone and I never used it after writing it.

But with my Line6 amp, I decided to record them all and I think they sound o.k.
So, if you feel like having a grunge flashback, download the EP here.
Here's the first song as a taster.
I have decided to mark 2011 by releasing some free EPs; for one, to help promote my albums, and also so that I can release some cover versions that I wouldn't have the rights to sell.

This first EP features versions of two of the songs from each album plus two cover versions.

Snooze is an acoustic version of the song that appears on the first album.

How Ever #2 is a 4-track version of the song which later became the title track of the second album. This was recorded in 1993.

The version of the Nirvana song, Polly, is one that I recorded shortly after the death of Kurt Cobain, so it was intended as a tribute to him. I realise that some of the words are wrong but back in 1994, we didn't have access to the lyrics on the internet and they never appeared in Smash Hits, the weekly pop magazine, so I had to sing what I thought they were.

The last track is my a capella version of the Pixies' song Alec Eiffel, with additional hand slaps on my legs. It was recorded in 2006.
It is more indie-rock than the first album and comprises older songs of mine, including some studio recordings when my first band recorded 2 demo tapes.
Tom Blackwell played bass on Blood for the Flowers, A Mistake and Waiting For Nothing. Darren Groucutt played drums on the same songs plus February. Adam Kyte played guitar on February; all of which were recorded in 2 studios in 92 and 93.
I write and record everything myself. I have been writing songs for 20 years. I don't like the idea of using an image so you won't see me in photos or videos as Zouch is only about the music.
I played in a couple of bands in the 1990s. I was the singer and guitarist in the first band, which was mostly indie rock from 90 to 93 then I got fed up of writing all the songs, so we gave up and I later joined a band as a drummer. That was from 95 to 97. Since then, I've been doing music for myself and in 2009, I decided to start releasing my music via iTunes, Napster, Amazon.com, Rhapsody and EMusic.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0
